Chemical Safety

Everyone is exposed on and off the job to a variety of chemical substances; most do not present a hazard under ordinary circumstances, but they all have the potential for being injurious at some sufficiently high concentration and level of exposure. How a material is used is the major determinant of its hazard potential. Any substance contacting or entering the body will be injurious at some excessive level of exposure and can be theoretically tolerated without effect at some lower exposure.
